Cheers Rudie I'm after a fiberglass one ideally but would consider carbon fibre.

Why do you want one? They are OK for time attack cars etc, but for road cars, not so good.

I assumed.......most people drive road cars.

The late, great Harvey Smith ran a lot of investigations into underbonnet temperatures, when using an FMIC. He did the research with quite a few different reverse scoops, grilles etc, and on NOT ONE did he get a lower ubt than using the standard forward facing scoop. Some, in fact, ran higher

Harvey put it down to the downflow of air over the gearbox from a standard scoop, which cools the gearbox and helps to suck cooler air in through the FMIC and rad.

Sadly he died before completing the project, but his advice was always, "Stick with what you have for a road car..."
