Default Wide track arch extensions.

Does anyone know if the wide track arch extensions are bonded or clipped as standard? Thanks Steve.

Thanks to Matty of MB developments for advising me that they are bonded and clipped.

.... But do you need the wide arch bumper to make these look right? Interested in fitting some myself if they look right with the early blob bumper.

there are holes drilled into the arches, about 5 and also some double sided tape.

Hi Rob, I,d say that you would need the wide track bumper to make it look right. I have had to buy new extensions because I removed the Zerosports side skirts which had been cut to suit. I have fitted standard twisted skirts now.

Cheers Steve, Dan.

I busted a late blob a few years ago, and when removing the arch ext they came without the clips(left in panels) and someone still bought them with the intention of using silicon to hold them so I know a few do just glue them on, but how do they marry to the non wide track blob rear bumper?

i have bought a set of arch extensions new and they come with clips to fit into the factory drilled holes (widetrack) and double sided tape.
they will fit a narrow track bumper but will look odd as on the widetrack bumper the arch sort of carries on.

I've thought of doing this many times. But what I keep thinking, is that surely once the arch extension is on, it must be a water trap. All be it, very small but surely it would help the dreaded rust on its way. ???

I'm yet to see a well looked after newage arch rust, and I've had a few jdm's too. They don't suffer like classics.

i broke the left hand side one and it came from the main dealer, they come pre painted with clips pre installed for the holes drilled in car bodywork and some double sided tape.

its a simple push on job but the arch extensions does clip under the rear bumper so this needs to be dropped slightly when fitting
