Default Advice on windscreen replacement please.

Eveining all,

I'm looking to get the car in for some spray work in the next few weeks, part of which will be the top of the windscreen and the pillars running down the side of it. Obviously the screen will need to come out, but my question is will i pay the full price of the new screen or is there a way i can claim through the insurance and just pay the excess?

Anyone with any experience with this, advice greatly appreciated

A decent screen fitter ought to be able to remove it without breaking it.

Thanks guys

To be honest i'd quite like a new screen in after the spraying as mine is a bit aged, it's got 3 or 4 chips in it and a bit of road rash over the years.

I will speak to the guy doing the car to see if he has any ideas just wondered if any one has gone down this route before?
