Default Painting side skirts and rear hockey sticks!

Hi, I asked my local garage to paint the above on myoo classic turbo 2000 but they advised against saying after a few weeks the skirts would like they had been blasted with a shotgun.
They said that its because the ones painted in the factory have special primer, any advice please.

If you get it done professionally, they will prep the plastic and use a special plastic primer, so they are quite correct.

Failure so to do will result in it chipping very easdily and even flaking off.

Ask a decent bodyshop to do it. Suspect any low prices you get quoted
