Default STI 04 PSE (RED) Styling advice?

New to the forum, hello everyone

Bought a Impreza WRX STI PSE '04 a month ago. I'm really satisfied with the car so far, not afraid of drifting around in the snow I want some advice about minor styling though.

After the holidays I will get all the 5 windows tinted. And since it's already got the dark wheels, I think it would look good to paint the inside of the headlight black, and maybe remove the orange indicator? Also thinking about smoke tinting both the headlights and rear light (either with spray or vinyl).

I would very much appreciate some of your thoughts on this, maybe you even have a few more ideas for me? Thanks in advance.

This is how the car looks today. (And here is a video.

Did the Swedish market get these as standard then as they were only a JDM spec-c colour as an STi, We got the WRX but not the STi in Red here in the UK.

The person who bought this car new had the chance to order a limited red Petter Solberg Edition. I dont know how many of them were sold, but I'm pretty sure there's only a handfull in Sweden (haven't seen any except mine though).

What do you think guys, should I paint the inside of headlights black or just let they stay chrome? I'm probably going to remove the orange indicator anyways.

Just remove the orange and fit a front lip in my opinion!

Looks great either way.

Im considering this more and more, thinking the chrome will look better "cleaner"..

There's a ton of lips out there, which one do you think would look good on my car? I dont want to spend too much on a lip since I'm pretty sure I'll crack it sooner or later.. My city is a splitter-killer.

I have left mine with the chrome, I agree, looks cleaner

A nice cheap splitter from here in the UK is a HTAutos one, I've got one and it looks great. Not sure what is available to you in Sweden though?

Here you go mate, Chrome De-tango`d lights(As standard) and HTAuto`s front splitter on the same colour car
Mine is HTA`s WRX version due to not having the Sti Winglets, The Sti one had a taller centre to allow for the winglets.

I thought about this, but does it have any real function what so ever or is it just for looks?

Lovely car mate. If I was you I would de-tango the headlights and while you have them apart spray the chrome satin black. Fit front splitter and defo change the foglight stickers to black ones. You can usually find them on ebay if your local grafix shop cant do you any,

Thanks!

Not much happening right now, I've ordered 5x Perrin Stiffies and a front lip. Will probably not mount anything until the snowy weather is gone..

Still having fun though!

You're correct sir.

The first PSE (2004) came with DCCD, boost gauge, IC spray etc which you wouldnt get on a basic '04 STI. I think the colour is PSE only as well

Looks pretty good as is.
I'm not a great fan of tinted windows, the drug-dealer chic doesn't do anything for me
And I'm NO fan of smoked, tinted etc lights. Lights are to see by and to be seen by. Smoking, tinting, whatever, ruins it both ways.

By the way, you look like Dr Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang". LOL
