Anyone else got a set of these that they mounted themselves on their car?

I've just had a go at mounting mine, and I may be missing something but I found the Scoobyworld instructions a bit unclear, and after two hours of having a go at one of the front flaps, I gave up.

Problems I encountered: struggled to get the clip nuts in with the nut facing the rear, it was fiddly to get the self tapping screw in without the bracket coming away from the wheel arch.

It looks simple enough and I'm determined to do it - anyone have any tips to prevent swearing and frustration?
