The badge sits in a badge shaped recess in the OEM grille.........do you mean you wanted a non-OEM replacement?

Zunsport Grille has no centre but has 3 holes on each side. Jap STi grille has a centre badge but the mesh goes behind so it's possible to cut the badge and supports off leaving an empty grille...

Have a google for Jap STi bug griles...

cheers mate. Had a look and they all seem to have something in the middle. I may get a badged grill and chop the middle out and mesh it , but was looking an easy job !

 

The Jap STi grille has the badge supported on 2 struts (top and bottom) but AFAIK the mesh goes behind so if you chop off the badge the mesh is intact........ Rare though

Badgless Sti style grill do exist as I have one on my bugeye. Bought it off a guy on here as while back.
