how easy is it to remove roof bars from a classic wagon?

anyone got any pics of a classic sti wagon bar less?

if it's prefacelift classic the bar detatch from the top
facelift wagons sure its roof lining out job unbolt from inside
me personally think wagons don't look right without the bars but each to there own
the wagon complete trim is rather rare also and u would probably have to piece the gaps

its a preface lift wagon , i got a preface gl in a scrap yard locally with no roof bars so was thinkin of taking the black strips from it

thats the way to do it dukeoffenland; save a chunk of cash over buying them new...make sure you are careful with the caps at the tailgate end as the clips are not particularly strong

cheers trails! i got a load of roof rail clips when gavin from autoglass done a screen, had about 50 said he rarely does imprezas and has no use for em so gave me them!

i will ring the breakers now and say i want em (8 quid!)

no worries, the end cap uses a different clip mechanism from the rest of them as it covers where the roof rail normally ends at the very edge of the roof...one of mine has fallen off so I know how hard they are to get hold of

could you not silcone them in ? then just hope they ok to remove later lol

probably...mine is getting painted opver the winter though so need to be able to remove them
