Front end stone chips and Wrap
Hi all,
1st real post so a quick hello.
I have a 02 Bug eye wagon WRX in WRC blue and 18" Oz rims which after giving the car a real clean, clay n polish over the weekend Iv realized the stone chips on the bonnet lip and leading edge of the wings between headlight and indicator need something doing about.
Not supprising as the car has been a motorway wagon most its life.
I'm thinking that maybe the wings I could try and touch-up or prob get someone local to do it (lack of talent with a brush), as its a small area wont cosh half a kidney... but the bonnet lip. Now Iv looked at wrapping, matt black would appear to be the only colour to go with the WRC Blue.
My question is more a point of taste I guess and Im asking for opinions and suggestions for alternative solutions as maybe Im leaning to thinking it could look a little 'ricer' with the bonnet wrapped in matt black.
(I'm a couple of decades past being 20)
So any other ideas how I could cover-up/hide/repair the chips.
Vik

Hadnt realy thought about it.. can you even get WRC blue wrap??.. I know paint shops have enough trouble with complicated light cameras and paint mixers to get a good colour match..
If you know where i can get WRC blue wrap, let us know as it might be worth a pumt to buy a strip just to check the colour match.
