Default Carbon fibre wrapped bonnet, now for the scoops

Got my self a carbon wrapped bonnet (a step closer to the real thing ! ) anyhoo, i sprayed my main scoop (sti 7 scoop) black but i did it a gloss black and well, its very shiny and stands out as the carbon is more of a matt black colour, so i am thinking, should i of done matt black, but when i add laquer it goes shiny again ?

cant afford a carbon scoop just yet

just live with it or any tips ?

cheers

i could wrap the scoop, maybe i will in future, but for now, just want to get the bonnet/scoops fitted.

i bought the bonnet already wrapped for £65 and scoop for £20 plus £20 for painting the scoop

real carbon is new about £500 and not many 2nd hand pre-facelift ones come along

cheers

Try "matting" the scoop with some 3000 grit wet and dry.

you could try a satin black laquer seen em on fleabay by a seller caller Jewel or sumin along those likes try searching rfu paint its not rattle can but i done my scoop in it with a clear laquer with thinners 1:1 ratio and came out pretty much exactly the same as the wrap on my bonnet (had the same idea as you lol) came out a treat :P
