Default Blob HID Hi Low Beam

Can anyone recommend a bi xenon hi, low beam kit to suit an 05 blobeye. Is this the best way to go, or what do you suggest.

Isn't the blobeye separate dip and main beam?
In which case TWO kits would be needed and you'd have to find space for FOUR ballasts.

I'm sure it can be done.

But DO avoid the ultra cheap kits, you do get what you pay for.

HID isn't bad on SINGLE FILAMENT lamps, which you have.

Due to bulb design versus HID burner design, it will never be perfect, but does a good job in the above, what scatter there is is reasonably under control, and there is obviously more light on the road.

The secret is to get the lights aligned properly, an MoT place will do the height for you, you check each one's side to side direction.

Uprated bulbs are a good idea too, the Philips uprated ones do well, as do Osram and Halfords which are on BOGOF and made by GE.

However, due to new MoT rules coming in in 2012, I'd be wary of HID in a light designed for halogen at the moment........we all know just how well rules from the EC are applied in THIS country, don't we?

You could always keep your old bulbs for MoT time......
