Piece of p1ss! Two people make it easier! Remove the boot via the 4 bolts on the inside of the lid, then disconnect the lock by removing the circlip on the lock itself, then removing the bar into the mechanism. Refit by following the reverse.

Oh, and dont forget the plug that connects the high level brake light to the rest of the car, to the right of the boot as you face it.

Cool I think even I could manage that then!

Also said boot lid is from a Bug, am I right in saying this will fit my blob WRX?

Boot shape for the blob and bug are identical, the bug will have a round key surround, in any case you will be swapping locks

Did you get the extra tension bars with the STi bootlid, IIRC you are *supposed* to fit them to prevent the heavier spoiler dropping the bootlid on your bonce when putting things in the boot.

I pick it up on Thursday as that's when I'm next off, guessing the tension bars are on it, what do they look like?

Ok cheers! Il message him to check, is it worth selling my WRX spoiler and boot lid? Are they in demand as most people want the STI type?

If you have space I'd keep it in case someone reverses into your car
