Why does this spoiler have screw holes? Pics included

Actually it's none of these.
The O.E. spoiler comes in two parts and there is a steel cable retainer that runs from loop on one of the bottom fittings, up each side and through the top. The panel you see is T shaped inside and the part that goes up will tension the cable as it is screwed into place.
So there.
If it's never been taken off, then the screw holes will have clear vinyl covers stuck over them. The O.E. spoiler is actually made up of over 70 parts in total.

Which once you take one apart and look at what goes into it is actually understandable.
The Roof Vane is about £700 odd too...ouch. Good old Ebay says I.
