Spraying Side Skirts
Does anyone know how to spray the black side skirts on a V2 Impreza to match the colour of my car? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks Adam.

Yes..........you take it to a DECENT local bodyshop, and you say, "Please spray my sideskirts."................
Seriously, it CAN be done, but being plastic, they need lots of preparation, THEN a special plastic primer, then the colour and finally laquer.
Miss out, or do badly any of those, and it'll end in tears.
You could always remove them and have them done off the car?

What ever you do, whether you do it yourself or get a bodyshop to do it, you should always remove them to do the job properly.
It's a nasty job painting used side skirts, as the undersides are always full of crap and stuff, and have millions of stonechips in the plastic itself.
Good luck.

just resprayed my my02 sti as im in a bodyshop, and the sill skirts were a bit of a pain.if i remember the sills on your scooby have some texture on them too so unless you cover with plasic primer and then lots of 2k primer you wont get rid of the texture which then makes the colour look not so good. as its below the doors the colour match will need to be good.

i did the standard ones on my 03 plate wrx. Took a bit of time but just used wet and dry till smooth bit of filler where needed wet and dry again, primer, rub down, sprayed them, rubbed down. Lacquered then once dried polished them up. Will post some pics up of them but just working on some sti side skirts now for it nd stuck to same method and working well. All sprayed from cans from halfords.
