Default Which lights will i need?

Hi Guys,

Just bought a 1998 Impreza STi type r. It has Morreta headlights fitted and i want to change them back to the original lights. Are they the same as uk turbo lights 96-2000?

Cheers Danny

I would swap mate but they are not up to much to be honest. One is rusted inside and there are a few cracks and stuff (One of the glass is broken aswell).
Cheers Danny

If you want the car as it was when it was built, look for lights from a 97/8 car, usually marked "facelift" on e-bay.

The later cars, 99/00 were crystal lights, they go for a bit more.

There are copies out there: the originals are GREY plastic rears, the copies, off-white.

Check also if the lights you are buying are electrically adjusted, I have a set of adjusters on e-bay at the moment.

Ok Mate spot on. Yeah i want to keep the car original so that would be best. Should the ones im buying being electrically adjustable or just manual.

You can tell by checking if there is a) wiring behind the lights, terminating in a square grey plug, and b) a switch with four positions, 0,1,2,3, on the lower centre dash below the headunit, rhside.

If those are there, then electrical. If not, manual.
