im doing my bonnet ,roof and boot lid also ive already done the bonnet and used dinoc 3m from a company on ebay its pricey but so forgiving to use , ikf u make a mistake u can simply peel back and re-apply , but a digital hot air gun is a must ! dont attemp to do it without any heat !! u could maybe get away with a hair dryer ?? but i was using 100 degrees to move it and stretch it about . i tackled it on my own and done it within 2 hours , here are the results
good luck matey

as far as i can remember it has a 7yr UV protection. just remember it an unprotected surface so when cleaning your car avoid shampoo with heavy abrasives, some polishes can leave permanent marks on it also.
For best results when applying to exterior pannels, wash the car with a dish washing liquid, the strong detergents will strip the polish and wax from your car leaving a clean surface for the vinyl to adhere to.
For interior parts, the best option is to rub them with fine grade wet n dry sandpaper and wipe over with thinners or other solvent based cleaner, nail polish remover can be used if your cheap! this will take away the shiney surface and and silicone contaminants such as flash dash etc...
This will give the vinyl the best chance of staying over a number of years. particualy important with dash parts as they tend to get hot from the sun or the heating which softens the adhesive and any film not firmly attached will start to come away.
for cleaning, just give it a wipe over with glass cleaner

What a bitch that is...
Just tried carbon wrapping my gear surround in my face-lift classic and just can't get it to stretch around properly, as the recess is a complete pain, in front of the gear stick.... Any tips as I've just wasted a load of carbon wrap

are you applying any heat ? also has the part your covering been removed from the car ? makes life alot easier if it has ? just keep at it , apply heat stretch , peel back heat stretch allow as much as possible to wrap around the back of whatever your covering so it wont peel at the edges ?! if its good quality di noc 3m its possible to wrap almost any kind of contour ! ive seen d.i.y wing mirrors looking pretty good . i wrapped a triple guage pod and that involved sticking it where i could then cutting it and using another piece for the front, when it was finished you couldnt tell it was 2 different pieces so maybe try that fella if all else fails ? dont give up

It's a royal pain in the ****, it's been removed from the car
Yeah it's di noc 3m and I am using heat. It just won't stretch into the shape it needs to go. Do you know which part i'm referring too? As I may be expecting it to do too much?
