Default Classic Rear Bumper Extension Removal

I want to send the 2 rear bumper extensions on my classic to be resprayed.

How do you remove them?

IIRC, clips in the wheel arch, one underneath, then pull the whole thing backwards, hard.

Can't remember exactly as it was that long ago. There is definitely some 10mm bolts to be undone as I remember coz mine were rusted solid
Its easier to take the bumper off to get at the fixings btw

I've taken off the plastic fixing nearest the reg plate and the spats at the weekend before it went dark.

All I could see were the 3 or so clip type things - are these fixed on via the bolts you mention.

The bits you want off are fixed on by sliding clips, but, being where they are, they get full of crap and don't slide easily any more. Getting them OFF is a pain, putting them back, once clean, dead easy.

+1 rusted into one nice pillar of orange metal had to cut mine off and buy new fixings which were suitably expensive Much easier with the bumper off ! for cutting or unscrewing.
