Default Rear upper spoiler

Hi, has anyone taken a genuine hawkeye upper rear spoiler off? I am asking cos I want to fit one to my classic and was wondering how the fin/blade fits into the two end pieces that are bolted to the C pillars. I am hoping that I could cut about 1" off each end of the blade and still fit it into the bases.

I know HT autos do a copy for the classic but its fibreglass not PU and I prefer the look of the original 3 piece genuine one.

Soon to be made in PU, but still 1 piece.

Maybe? but not yet, as tooling can take up to a month for plastic parts.

Any idea when the upper rear spoiler will be ready in PU - for the classic?
