Default Wind deflectors

how would i secure these if some of the clips have broke?

any idea? pictures of them installed would be great

You`ll need something like this

Or this :-

Try `googling` high tak tape

The tape should be no more than 6mm wide according to mine (just measured).


Here they are fitted

Got my deflectors today, how do the clips work?

any ideas?

Chaps - I am looking to fit similar to my 1994 wagon. I am thinking it will probably save on the window adjustment and remember an old mate of mine with a WRX and they seemed to work very well. There is lots of talk on the net about OEM versions or of sourcing direct for Subaru but was wondering if anyone have a quick link to where you found them I would be very grateful. As a newbie, this site is a cracking source of information. Look forward to hopeful response. Cheers

graham goode do them. the new ones come with clips and the strip that glues on, just got to remove the covering tape.

Many thanks - sorry to be thick, but when it refers to pillar aerial what does it actually mean? Without is double the price for some reason at almost £180 which is sort of pricey to stop a little wind noise and being too lazy to adjust windows!!

If you look at the pics above you will see that there is no cut out around the a pillar mounted aerial. There are two versions - with a little cut out to go around the aerial and with no cut out for cars with the electric aerial mounted in the rear wing. Not sure why the ones with no cut out are dearer, you would have thought its the other way around?

I think the point is that you can have the window open and you get less draught and noise around the window, certainly at speed. I am also hopeful that it will quieten down noise around the window rubbers on what is now an old granddad of a scoobie - albeit one who is still keen to party!
