Default help needed please,

basicly ive had my car resprayed, an the garage has sprayed it the wrong colour, so outside an door struts dont match, there saying they have done nothing wrong becouse they went buy the paint code, 559 also saying that there is vareants (diff shades cant spell) so it has to be right, but a few years back i had some paint made up in a spray can an that was ok, so does anyone know if there is diff shades of subaru 559, because im having big probs at mo, need some think to show them at garage that they are wrong.

No variants: 559 bright red is just that.

Either it's been made up wrong, or they have used basic one-coat paint instead of the 2-part, (base coat and lacquer), or just that your pillars are faded? Red is notorious for fading, mate.

However, use of the cheaper paint DEFINITELY produces a different colour, especially under sodium streetlights. Ask them where the paint came from and to show you the container. If they can't/won't, you don't pay until they do.

if their IS variants then they should/could of used a colour chip to match it!
i had a spoiler painted on a car a while ago and had to go to bodyshop for them to use colour chips because even though they had paint code the computer came up with 3 variants of the same colour code! they matched it up and all was well!
