Post Fitting classic front bumper

Its been so long since i stripped my scooby down i have sort of forgotten how to fit the front bumper back on, i sold my bumper last year and am buying another one soon what else do i need to fit it? i Think i can remember the old one coming off with a bracket?? or does it bolt on to the bumper support bar welded onto the car??

Help would be much appreciated, pics even better

thanks.

Yes you will need the support bar, this slides between the bumper plastic and supports the top of the bumper when you bolt it back onto the beam thats welded to the car.

Im sure there are some parts missing on there... its slightly different if you have a pre facelift classic, the grill just pulls out (pull top of the grill towards you) then remove the head lights and side lights, and you will see a series of bolts holding the top of the bumper to the crash beam, there are two supports near the wheel arch that need undoing and i think thats it from the top of my head

What are the physical differences ive looked at a picture but it wasnt a good example as both cars looked as if they were modified and the only difference i could tell was the lights, bonnet and grill.

i dont know why but the facelift bumper does look better, they are very subtle differences, one of the obvious ones is under the indicator there is a little vent, on the facelift there is only one bar across the vent on the prefacelift there are 2
