Default Saloon and Wagon front bumpers

Are they the same?

So would a facelift wagon front bumper fit onto a pre-facelift saloon front end?

Quick 'yay' or 'nay' will suffice...

Cheers, Mark

AFAIK, they are the same. Facelift and pre-facelift bumpers are alike, but there are TWO types of facelift, 97-98, and 99-00.

If you are facelifting, you also need to consider new (head)lights, bonnet and grille to get all the shutlines right

Hmm, whats the difference between the two facelift types like (97-98 & 99-00)??

Any pics?

Yep, sorted with the headlights and grille, bonnet is fine like, the slight offness of the shutlines doesnt bother me, can barely tell... plus i've an ali bonnet.

... excuse my ignorance but, AFAIK????

Cheers for the reply

AFAIK - As Far As I Know.

99/00 grille is different to the 97/98

99/00 grille protudes at the base, also that's when the bumper changed, below.

97/98 doesn't;

Oh, and it will be a straight fit, there's no difference between saloon and wagon front bumpers.

Good pics micky. The most noticeable thing between the two bumpers is that the earlier ones have TWO slots belowthe indicators, whereas the later cars had one.

And the price of the newer bumpers is genearlly four to five times that of the earlier on e-bay, for example.
