Late classic - how does the front plate attach?

Late classic - how does the front plate attach?
Just bought a 1998 classic uk scoob, and the previous owner had relocated the front plate to the splitter and i want to move it back to the o.e. location but can't see any attachments.

guessing that the original plate holder has been cut off. On the center of the bumper there is a plate holder moulded into it, i hacked mine off when moving the front plate as it looked daft with it still there
