New Age Front Splitter
Have been looking at one of these for a while now but still not sure if to get one as I have a few concerns about them.
Are they to low for speed bumps?
Has anyone had any proplems with multi story car parks? (going up/down the slops between levels)
Whats better the fiberglass or the plastic type?

Depends by how much the cars be lowered.
My 2002 is 45mm down from standard and I haven't had any trouble thus far except on a very very hi ramp, but that was my fault, being plastic it just scrapped the underside which was really easy to repaint.
Go for it

Mine's dropped 50mm with a HT Auto's one, multi-storeys, garage ramps, speed humps and a crested drive, all no problems. If I do catch something it'll just flex as SH says, they are flexible PU

Mine was great for a while before it splintered into six pieces.... I've raised the front now and will be looking to get another HTA PU one.... anyone know if they're still doing their GB prices?

I got one from scooby world (the plastic type), had no probs at all with it. My newage is standard shocks and springs etc, have no probs clearance wise, and even if you park head on up to a kerb, it'll normally sit just above it. Fit was good too... and not expensive, so if something does go wrong with it (i.e. a badger or fox starts a fight with it) it wont cost my sister to replace it

I have this one sat in my garage waiting to go on the car at the weekend, looking forward to getting it on. Something slightly different to the "usual" front lip

This thread prompted me to open the box in the garage last night and actually get the splitter out.
It turns out, I didn't actually get the one above, instead I've been given a HTA Plastic type one which is half covered in Carbon fibre material. It sounds crap but it's actually very good because it gives the overall apperance of a carbon fibre splitter but with the flexability of a plastic HTA splitter.
I'll get it on the car this weekend (weather depending) and put some pics up as soon as I'm done - but I'm hopeful it will look pretty good.

Not sure what one I have or how low the car is .. but nothing out of the ordinary ... and yes .. steep drives and multistory car parks are a nightmare ... you have to go very slowly and at an angle to reduce the likelihood and limit damage.
In normal circumstances I have about 2 mm clearance on curbs .. but if the curb is only slightly high I find I do occasionally clip them when I park nose in. For the most occasions now I reverse in now.
Speed ramps are not usually a problem unless going too fast, or am still on the brakes.
And I do know of at least 3 people who have had two or more front splitters .. I've been fortunate as mine hasn't totally gone yet and I take it off ever 6 months ... fill the cracks and dents and then repaint ... but it will only be a matter of time before it reaches its 'end of useful life'

That's the one thing that concern's me to be honest. I have a fairly step "curb to get up and down on a daily basis to get into the car park at Wickford station..... If I can't make it it's going to cost me a whole pund more a week to park in the main car park

Well went to fit the splitter today only to find this one isn't right either Not even close - I'm fairly certain they have sent me a hatch splitter because there are only 2 points on either side of the car where nuts/bolts could be fitted and none of the other holes are even remotley close
SO - Now going to have to mess around sending this one back, for another replacement, unless of course I just ask for my hard earned $$$ back
