Yes, you can fit blob lights to a bug without changing the bumper only need to remove the bumper support brackets, but I believe that the bulb holders are different

AFAIK they are different fitting as the rear lights on the blob go into the bumper, ill attach some pics so its better understood.

Bulb holders are different as the bulbs are a different layout, but the connector is the same.

The blob lights need a little bit of foam padding removing and they will fit straight on. iirc RiceRocket did this first without cutting the bumper or fitting the blob bumper

The first pic shows the bugeye rear, notice the area I highlighted:

The second pic shows the blob rear, again notice where I highlighted, I thought that the lights were not a direct fit??

That is a common misconception. A few people have now fitted the blob lights straight onto a bug by just removing some foam padding from under the bit on the blob lights you have identified.

I've not seen the pics so I don't know how well it fits, but it can be done

I know that both RiceRocket and Wiley have both done it, although Wiley has now uprgaded to a blob bumper. It is something I am considering, as I don't want to change my rear bumper because of the spats I have fitted

Cheer mate, don't take offence but

They were blob spats and a PITA to fit, and then the paint went wrong
