HELP........removal of rear bumper on Classic
I'm currently in the middle of removing the lump of metal TOWBAR from my car.
I am goin to need to take the rear bumper off but can't seem to get it off..... to make things worse, I know that there are 2 screws to come out from each side in the wheel arch but I can see that there are 4 visible clips on the top of the bumper, but is there any more underneath the rear lights???
I can't even get the lights off took the 5 little screws off but seems to be a pain n not come off....am I missing something here??
Cheers. Phil

You don't need to remove the rear lights, and if they aren't leaking, I'd DEFO not disturb them
The bumper has clips at the front edges, under the wheel arch, two clips IIRC under the back edge, and 6 bolts, 17mm IIRC, three under each of the "chassis" rails.
Remove all these, and the bumper supports SLIDE out of the chassis rails.
You then need to support it while disconnecting the number plate light.

thanks for the advice
ran into a problem
1 of the bolts that hold the bumper in the chassis rail has decided it doesnt want to come out, it seems to be slack and goes round n around
think the bolt on the top has broken away and it aint comin out
these simple jobs of mine always end up a nightmare
oh well....my splitter will be ready on Monday, hopefully be done by then

Either hacksaw it off, or grind it off with an angle grinder: a garage would do it for you, but you would need to get the stub end of the bolt ground down far enough to allow the bumper fixing to slide out of the rail.
