just in the process of removing my spats on my classic to replace for mud flaps ive managed to remove the rears & one of the fronts the the other front spat the nut just doesnt want to come out can anybody tell me what the nut goes into is it a clip or into the side skirt?

i had the same problem nut's had corroded in the end i just pursuaded it off over the bolt and cut old bolt after
made new fitting holes when refitting
