Wink Is it legal?

Hi all, I know there are many of you who have already done this but is it legal

What I want to know is if I remove my front number plate and replace it with a stick on one attached to the lower spoiler, will it be legal? My local plate maker will supply it but says hes not sure, very helpful. Do you know?

If it's not legal whats the smallest size I can use on the front?

Thanks, Martin.

There are currently NO self adhesive materials which carry the required British Standard to be used in the manufacture of number plates, therefore ALL stick-on plates are illegal. As for the smallest, the DVLA website has a guide about the approved legal font, size and all spacings and borders. The best way to get a smaller looking plate is to buy the cheapest 5 figure number 'X1XXX' to minimise the number of digits and spacings. With ANPR being the Plod's biggest weapon in tackling crime they are being very strict about pulling cars with the slightest irregularities, MOT testers are told to be stricter and VOSA roadside checks are onthe increase. The motorist must keep bolstering the economy

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't want to give plod another excuse to pull me over. I will try an alternative then, it's a shame as it looks so much better stuck on the spoiler. Thanks again, Martin.
