Blob rear lights won't fit a bug without cutting into the bumper two half moon shapes that the blob has, also they would overshoot the bugeye bumper slightly, making it look silly...IMO......its possible a blob rear bumper would go onto a bugeye, im nearly certain it would to be honest, very little in it.

Look on scoobyparts.com or revolution for spoilers, vents, etc etc mate

I've done the blobeye rear conversion on mine, and changed the headlights.
As long as you can get a blobeye rear bumper the rest is a piece of p*ss.
I ended up sourcing a damaged one and having it refurbished and completely resprayed at a local bodyshop.

Plastic poppers round the bottom of the bumper, and I think 6 or 7 bolts from the inside will release the bumper. You'll need to remove the two small metal brackets that sit underneath the original lights or the new bumper won't go on. You don't need them though - the bumper sits fine without them.

Then it's just a straight like for like replacement.

It's apparently the same for the STI sideskirts off the blob too although I have a set of STI7 ones on mine.

I recommend you get a mate to help you or you can end up scratching the paintwork.

As for lights, suggest you watch the for sale on here, sidc, and your local companies. Places like Jap performance parts often have em but they ain't cheap (mainly because they're getting so rare and everyone with a WRX wants them!). Your alternative is to go for a set of UK300 style lights or Morettes. IMO the STI lights look the best but everyone has their own style and preferences. I got lucky and sourced mine cheaply direct from Japan. You'll also need a wiring harness conversion loom from George Davies (wagons ho on here) which will cost you about £40 but is a plug and play - handy if you ever want to go back.

If you're going to change the lights, suggest you also go for the later STI grille which is a one rather than 3 piece item, with metal mesh rather than plastic. They're £180 (or might be £140 - I can't remember) new from Subaru and come sprayed in the car's colour.

HTH

The main difference is that the v8 lights are crystal whereas the v7 ones are solid colour and flatter.
The v8 bumper is also more flared at the sides than the v7 one so it's not exactly identical but close enough.

A lot of people fit v9 clusters, especially to black or white bugeyes as they tend to look better than the v8 ones in those colours - main difference is really that the colours are reversed.

Yep. The main difference is that the UK ones are projectors (non HID) whereas the JDM ones tend to be HID by default.

Easy enough to convert the UK ones though
