Default newbie questions

hi guys,

i am new to the scooby scene after purchasing an sti version 5 (which im due to pick up on tues!). I just had couple of questions in terms of styling if anyone could help me out.

i wanted to replace the standard orange indicators for clear ones. can i replace them with the crystal clear items or do i have to buy a crystal clear headlamp to suit? i thought the standard headlamp looked fairly 'crystal' to me!

thanks peeps

Your headlamps will br crystal versions but the sidelights will be clear and can be replaced by crystal ones, also you can replace the front indicators and side repeaters with crystal version and detango the bulbs for one that are silver but flash orange.

Very simple to do, sidelights, lift bonnet, undo screw on top pull forward hard and they pop out on a small ball joint.
Quarter turn to release bulb holder and replace with new crystal version, might be wise to replace the sidelight bulb to some Phillips ones or LEDS to give a nice white light.
Refit is the reverse but add some grease to the ball, it helps the next time if you remove them.

Front indicators, undo screw, remove and replace very easy.
Normally I recommend Pgillips Silvervision bulbs, think these are the opposite pin versions.

Side repeators, push forward and pull toward you to remove.

Job done in 10 minutes and should look like:

Sorry no clear side repeator shot

These pop out, if you soak them in paint stripper the orange paint comes off leaving black plastic.
Mine were sprayed when I had the lip spoiler fitted though.
