Fitting Replica STI 6 Spoiler
I am thinking of buying one of the better quality replica STI 6 rear spoilers to fit on a UK MY00 . However I would like to fit it utilising the existing holes only if possible, so I can remove it at a later date if I decide to buy a new age Scoob. However I notice the likes of Scooby world etc recommend additional holes be drilled in the boot lid to secure the spoiler. Can anyone confirm if this is this really necessary for a road car as if possible I would obviously like to avoid having to drill additional holes .
Cheers

uk2000 spoiler
hi, fitted a carbon fibre sti6 spoiler to my ukmy2000, had to drill extra holes although i didnt want to as spoiler didnt sit smoothly in the middle on the boot lid. dont believe even if you glued it that it would pull it tight onto boot, good luck!!

Mine, which came from GradeA, and is a copy, (replica), fitted perfectly, using the existing bolt holes. I have also sealed it to the boot with Puriflex.
If you DO drill new holes, couldn't they be UNDER the EXISTING spoiler, so that if, or when, that goes back, they would be covered? A bit of seal around them, and what's the problem?
