Default Number plates

I kind of need to get a set of number plates esp. the front one.

When I took my number place off (which I quite like off btw) for fitted my HID kit, the plastic screw that was holding one side is broke and the other side a 2" screw was holding it in place.

As you can see in the picture, the outer holes have got the other half of the screw in, but the inner holes I can use. So do I try to get the other half of the screws out or mount them in the inner holes??

Darren

Now are the plates from Fancy plates good quality ones, like the 3M ones??

also can you ask them to put any logo you want on the bottom of the plate if you send them the image?

cheers

Darren

Use double sided tape and you'll have no worries with the screws.

Certain plate manufacturers will do you whatever you want

AGREE WITH STICKY STUFF.......YOU WILL NEED SOME GOOD QUALITY "STICKY STUFF" LIKE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE (AVAILABLE FROM NUMBER PLATE MAKERS).

There is a metal plate behind the bumper you can remove quite easily(the threaded holes for the number plate are in it) then just drill and retap out the broken screws which would have been plastic (6mm I think).Had to do this on my old classic when the screws broke.Couple of new screws from the dealer and a wee bit of grease on them to stop it happening again - no need to buy new plates.

I would rather screw it on, the stick it on.

I had my bumper off as you know, and I saw the place behing the bumper and I did not know how it get it off to get to the screws.

BTW, can I still get to it without taking the bumper off again?

Cheers

Darren

Took the bracket off mine without taking the bumper off but it was years ago and cant remember how I did it.Why not just do it as it is - put a pilot drill through then a 5mm drill and then clean the threads with a 6mm tap its only plastic you are clearing out.
