Default Mud Flaps Logo Colour?

Been thinking about getting some Performance Creations Mud Flaps, as they seem to have had good write ups on here, now I want Blue flaps but am unsure of what colour to get the STI lettering in, either Pink, or yellow.
Thinking pink as I just got a "I" badge for the front grille, and also to continue the pink lettering all over the car anyway, but have seen a pic with the yellow writing on and they also look good.

Some thoughts and pics would be most greatful, thanks

DAZ.

Hey Darren
With your colour car IMO i think WR blue with either white or pink lettering looks the best, yellow does'nt feature anywhere else on he car and looks out of place. As u say the pink theme follows through and looks great. Hence y i got black with pink from Performance creations myself

Need any help fitting em give us a shout M8.

Yeah forgot to saw my car colour anyway is a WR Blue, but you already know that Bodski!.

Ok so Blue and Pink is the way to go, now should I actually get them??. You don't need to do the full Rally monty do you, i.e stickers everywhere.

Thanks for the offer Bodski, might just well do ask for help if it happens.

Nooooooooooooo U don't need it to be slagged to look the nuts with flaps on,i think it gives the car a wider look and really sets off the whole thing.

Make sure u get the version 2 ones Darren with the stainless brackets, they cost a bit more but seem to be the way to go. Mention scoobynet when u order them, the bloke who runs the company is a top bloke.

ScoobyWorld do two sets, one at £70 with stickers, the other at £100. Now the cheaper ones are made of what they call "Poly Vinyl Chloride" , and the £100 ones use "Polyurethane". So what is what should I be looking at the dearer set, or does it now really matter.

Also 100% want the STI with text below, and not just STI on its own, it looks too big.

Bodski:- Have you any close up pictures of you flaps (good job your a bloke, I've had slaps for chat like that), so as to see the s/steel brackets etc. Are they fairly rigid, and finally how long and hard were they to fit?.

Cheers,
Daz.

Not got any good close up pictures darren but the stainless brackets are held in place by 2 push fit connectors that go into the holes that are already in your car, (you unscrew and pull out the black fixings that are already there) then it's a matter of lining up the flap and bracket together, making sure it's all straight and drilling a couple of small pilot holes for the screws that hold the bracket and flap to the bottom of the inner wheel arch.

I found it much easier to take the wheels off to do the front, i know of people who've worked round the wheel but it's a tight job and i'd imagine it would be easire if u had a ramp or trolley jack so you could get underneath. The back is a bit easier and i found it ok to work with the wheel still on.

Took about 1 1/2 hours to do all four from what i remember.

Oh and if it's Flaps your after i'm sure were in the right place. essex is Famous for it's bints with the ability to get the old flaps out at the drop of a hat

I really like the white ones, but like you I feel pink to match the other STi text..

Keen to see what you do...

PC creations for me. Easy to fit just attach the flap to the bracket and then its just a case of plastic plugs into the bumper and 2 front and 1 rear self tap screws into the wheel arch. Definitely remove the wheels you will save more time giving yourself the extra room to drill into the arch. When screwing the bracket into the arch put a bit of silicone sealant into the hole so it prevents any possible damp getting into the fresh metal. Appart from that piece of Pi55. Just take your time to get them straight. I spray painted my brackets and fitments to match and you can see I have black not blue. Happy flaping.

Dirty flaps but you get the idea.

53WRX, great pictures, thanks. Gives me a much better idea of where you have to drill. I'll be fine fitting them, already driled holes in the front bumper to fit a lower grille.

Siv55STI, did you also get yours from Performance Creations?

I'll probably order them in a week or so, on holiday next week, so it'll give me time to think about the colours. I'm sure it will be pink STI with the text below from performance Creations, as you all recommend them.

I was nervous about drilling through into the metal at such a potentially rust-vulnerable loction, so i got a couple of 'big-head' bonding fastners and araldited them on. They are only availabe from the manufacturers in big minimum quantities but i phoned them up and explained what i was doing and they sent me a bag of free samples! Maybe this would make a good GB?.....
