Default Overspray on front screen.

Hi.
Had a new screen fitted two weeks ago.
Had replacement boot sprayed one week ago.
Car sprayer muppet decided it wasn't worth sheeting the car very well and as a consequence i've got overspray all over the place. He's ok with buffing it all off when the weather gets a bit cooler but i'm fed up looking through an opaque screen.
Anybody got a clue how to get the overspray off the windscreen.
Sprayer said "wire wool" or maybe a razor blade.
I think "T-cut"(as i removed flies, crap, sap from my van screen this way.)
Car windscreen fitting place says none of the above and it needs to be a "special stuff" they use.
Anybody removed any before from a windscreen and not left marks?
Ta.

I use a new stanley knife blade to remove overspray from glass, if that doesnt work try it on your wrists and the screen wont bother you again!

Wire wool??...or perhaps some emery cloth would do it?

..thinners should fetch paint off glass in just a couple of wipes or not, surely a painter would have known that?

I'd tend to try it with a thinners soaked rag first, finishing off with T-cut, or Mer type polish, and work hard at it!

ANYTHING abrasive can cause scratches, swirl marks etc on glass, as can a stanley, or razor, blade. Into a lowering sun, they are a nightmare.

I once had a new screen on a 205GTi, and the fitter removed a label with a safety razor blade. On the way home, I could see scratches looking into a lowering sun. Sure enough, it had to be done again

or there is a screen cleaner that you can buy.
