So have you gone from the standard top spoiler, to a new sti replica spoiler ?
I got a replica sti spoiler for my wagon. The metal bracket that wraps around the frame will need to come off. The big metal plate that is glued down will stay there. The bracket is screwed in on the inside of the boot lid and remove the nut holding it on the big metal plate. This bracket will need bending slightly to remove it. Once removed it is then screwed onto the new spoiler for extra safety when you fit it back on the boot lid.

You will also need to drill holes in the spoiler so that the bolts sticking up from the metal plate can fit into it.
