P1 wing - fill in "P1" if not on a P1??
Not quite sure that makes much sense.
I've bought a P1 wing to go on my UK 4 door. Its sonic blue so colour is the same as the wing but as we you know its not a P1.
In no way am I suggesting its a P1 and if anyone asked obviously its not a P1.
However, should I have the P1 emblem on the wing upright filled in? Personally until its on the car I'm not too sure - it doesn't bother me but I know some people get all het up if a car is being passed off as something its not.
If I filled it, I'd get some little yellow Subaru swooshes for the wing uprights.

Personally, i was thinking of putting a P1 spoiler on my car and i was going to to fill the P1 on the sides. Don't like trying to make a car out to be something it's not, but do like the P1 spoiler with the carbon bit across the top.

swen6 did this a while ago and the amount of abuse he got was quite staggering (well from one person at least )
but the point was he has a type r in grey and although he loved the spoiler, his car wasnt a PI, so he had it filled, colour coded and tbh it looks great, especially as the carbon on the top looks the business against the grey.
will try and find the link as he posted up pics of it being painted me thinks

Well, I did think that some might have something to say about it but its not as if you can pass a 4 door turbo off as a P1?!
I'll see what condition its in when it arrives and if it needs a respray I'll get it filled. If not its alot of work for a little emblem.

Leave the P1 emblem in the wing. Its your car.....up to you
How many people that dont have STI's, have STI stickers on the car ! ! Me for a start Its my car and I'll stick whatever I want on it.... Look at all these car's with the rally stickers on them

too true about stickers on non sti cars..i am guilty of that, but when you look in my engine bay and see the amount of actual sti parts in there, i think i have some justification
but for some reason, P1 spoilers on non-P1 cars seem to attract all sort of comments..
swen6 filled his in becuase he liked the spoiler, but he didnt have a P1, simple as that. it was a bitch of a job he said, to get the logo filled in correctly, without any bumps or filler settle marks, so you might want to leave it well alone.
and as every1 says, its your car mate..enjoy

Well its just arrived and has a few little marks but not worth a respray. Think I'll leave it as it.
Just got to work out how to mount it without knackering the boot!!

Leave it as it is.
It's difficult to fill in properly, they need to be done in small stages, built up then smoothed down.
Saw a black one recently and the way the light caught it, you could still make out the P1 logo in the sunshine.
The spoiler should fit the original 4 bootlid holes, use those, plus double sided tape from 3M. It will act as a cushion plus it's very sticky.
I presume you don't want to drill the other holes.

Thanks for the advice David!
Didn't really fancy drilling loads of holes - knowing me it would end on the pi55 anyway!
Once its on and the P1 wheels are on I shall be in touch for a P1 splitter
