Default MY 93 WRX, what should the bonnet be made of?

Since ive had the car the bonnets not fitted right so i thought it must have been changed, i checked with a magnet after i talked to some one with a MY96 STi type RA V-limited and he said he had a light weight bonnet, and the magnet doesnt stick to my bonnet, where as it does to the wings?

what should the bonnet be made of and what is mine made of, aluminum or some sort of alloy?

cheers for any info,
GAZ

MY93 WRX bonnet should be aluminium, should weigh about 10kg, steel weighs about 15kg and my carbon ones weighs just over 5kg.
