Default ** Number plates**

Sorry to put this in here Admins/mods, its just I thought it would get noticed more here than in "styling" Feel free to remove it once I get a couple of answers,

But basically, I'm after getting some plates made up for the pending arrival of my Scooby, but the standered size plate is 520 x 112 MM and looks too big for front of the MY06, I want to have the 3/4 size which is 390 MM x 84 MM, would this be legal. what size do the letters have to be to be legal, Any help .

Reg is 1 letter & 1 number then 3 letters (Private plate) ends in WRX lol.

Chris

Sorry again Mods/admins

you can get away with shortening the plate to suit the lenght of your reg.

But i think it's the height that has to full size.

when the police done me for mine (£30 fixed penalty) it was for the height of the letters, but mine was only about 35mm. I managed to get away with it for about 6 months.

I had a border on mine, its a 3/4 size plate from www.fancyplates.com I emailed them my design before placing the order and they responded saying that they could put the border on but the letters and numbers would shrink even more !!

Looks the nuts IMO unfortuanatley the coppers don't seem to like it quite so much
I have had several warnings in the 7 months I have had it on the car, the usual
" If I see again tonight, I am nicking you for that plate "

Touch wood not had the 30 quid fine yet !!
