Default Fitting Scott Lowe V-Lip splitter - left over bolts?

I've got 11 bolts here, but I've only found homes for 7 of them, witht he 4 remaining holes where the plastic clips came from.

I know 2 of those holes wont take the bolt as you can't get in behind it.

So bolts or clips for the 4 remaining holes then?

Looks the business BTW.

Had loads of bolts left over on my splitter, as I cable tied most of them on to my bumper, I think you are supposed to drill holes into your bumper, No chance i was doing that.

Well I've decided to put two other ones on, and the place where the other inner trim clip came out of wont line up, so i'll leave it alone I think.

Seems very solid to me as it is, but I could stand corrected.

NEXT THE WING!

Hey chaps theres no need for drilling. We have encountered several different configurations of WRX bumper (they all look the same but the holes are positioned differently underneath) so we drill the spoilers for all known configs and provide enough fittings to cover the worse case scenario! Hope this helps
The clips should be replaced with bolts if possible.

megabusa,

I'm after a (scott's) lip spoiler for my 05 WRX, the question I've got is, if your wrx has STI side pods fitted do you order the STI version or the WRX version..?

Cheers,
Jason

Jason, I'm sure scott will confirm, but I think you'll need the STI one. One of the boys from the Scottish arm of the SIDC has the STI side pods fitted to his (very nice too), and I had a quick look at the way the bumper was all lined up and it didn't look like the WRX one I have would have fitted.

Worth pointing out that I fitted that in July and it's still rock solid and looking the business.

cheers guys,

just need to decide whether or not to bother with the side pods or not (extra £££ and weight..!). i think it'll look good enough with the splitter (and fog covers), after all I'm not trying to turn it into an sti lookalike.

I'd say just the splitter too. Fancy some fog covers for mine too.
