Default Pre facelift to face lift conversion

Is it possible to convert the front of a classic to a facelift version. i.e newer bonnet, lights and grill.

Is there anything else required, has anyone done this as my misses decided to modify the front of my car today by spanking into a Ford Ka, so as i have to get the work done i figured i may be able to update it at the same time?

Wink

I did this on my first WRX (1994 L reg) when I indadvertently hit the back of a Honda Acccord at some traffic lights (my fault for not paying attention).

Apart from the pain of messing the car up, I was delighted with the facelift version.

I had a new bonnet, new grille, crystal style headlights, new bumper with the "finless" bits on, and a P1 style splitter.

Bought most of the parts from Revolution.

If the front bumper is damaged you may need to buy an bumper bar/hanger - not too much!

I have some pictures of the car if you want them emailed - let me know.

Ill be keeping my bumper i expect as i only fitted a Jun splitter to it a couple of days before the spank and it aint comin off in one piece!

Insurance company will be paying for bumper, headlights and grille anyway so shouldnt really cost me alot if anything at all. I think ill slap in some morettes while Im at it.

So if anyone does happen to have a facelift bonnet/grille please let us know, if i buy the bits in second hand i can reduce my excess somewhat.
