Question Belgian need help!

Hello ,
i drive a 2004 wrx plus :

And i really want to remove the 2 things (sorry i don't know it in english) on top the roof,like JDM plus :

Anyone got an idea??

Nice looking wagon

You mean the "roof bars" on the top

I've got some instructions on how to remove them - they are taken from the bugeye service manual but I guess they are similar for an MY04 . Unfortunately Photobucket is down at the moment so I can't upload the picture

The instructions basically say to remove the roof trim inside the car and then remove the eight mounting nuts (two at each end of each roof bar) and be careful not to scratch the paintwork in the process

Do you need new strips to cover the holes left in the roof strip though?

It doesn't mention them in the manual - are they removable or do they slide out of the way / are spring loaded to uncover the fixing points?

Don't know.
Just wondered if removing the rails would leave holes in the black covers or if there are covers already underneath?
