WINDOW TINTING
Hi All,
Finally get my new WRX SL wagon tomorrow with PPP - can't wait!
(Have been confined to Audi A4 2.0 for a year, after 4 yrs in MY99)
I am going to get the windows tinted (rears and rear screen) so my little girl of 2 doesn't need welding goggles in the back on a sunny day.
I am keen to get something legal (i.e. >30%) and have seen a few professional outfits charging some fairly silly money.
Is this a practical DIY job? If so, where can I get the film from, and has anyone had any experience of doing it themselves, and it coming out OK? Or should I lighten up and pay the pros circa £200 to get them done so I don't make my pride and joy look like a MK1 Escort that's had half of halfords thrown at it?
All advice greatly appreciated...
Andy

Unless you know what you're doing, i personally would let the pros deal with it. I reckon there is more to it than meets the eye.
Got mine done for £150, tho mines a 4 door not a wagon. If i remember correctly they do wagons for £160 or £170. (thats for all the glass, excluding the windscreen obviously
) They are based in Dinnington near Worksop. If you want their number send us a PM
Cheers

Smudge as long as you don't touch the front windows you are fine, the rears can be as dark as you like. DIY is not someting I would suggest, best find someone local who has had good customer feedback. Pentagon are very good but you are paying for a premium service, you pays for what you get.

Just to confirm from the b pillar back you can have as dark as you want (although i've had the front windows done as well on my 2004 WRX Wagon) and let the pros do it as it's not a very easy DIY job
