Number plate legality question
Ive got a nice short personal reg on my scoob __WRC.
Would it be illegal to trim the plate so it is shorter? I currently have a full size front plate but due to the short reg most of it is blank. The spacing and lettering etc would be 100% but the blank space would be gone.
I reckon it'd look much better.
Cheers
Peter

I got pulled 2 weeks ago for my numberplates, they are correct size etc but the font was slightly classical. gave me a 14 day notice to get new ones with the correct font.
Also advised that they had been instructed to push on illegal number plates. Apparently the new camera system they have cannot read letters and numbers that are slightly different.

As far as I'm aware there is no legal requirement on the actual size of the plate itself, only the font, borders, stroke, etc.
I also have a 'short' registration and have a cut down (but legal
) plate on the front. Full size on the back, though, otherwise it looks a bit odd.
