I have a '97 STI Type R and would like to get a P1 front lip spoiler fited. I have herd that they will only fit '98 or newer models. Is this true because I cant see the bumpers being that different.

If you got the facelift bumper, you will be fine

They dont fit the old bumpers

The bumpers for the 93-98 models are completely different to those of the 99-00 facelift cars.
Swapping front lip spoilers between the 2 cannot be done. At the corners they would be as much as 2 inches out of line.

We do have a P1 style front lip spoiler designed to fit the early bumpers, and all the pictures can be seen on our new updated web-site.

I checked you site, i liked the carbon splitter and the p1 splitter. Just thinking which one i prefer
