Question

hi there ,

I have just bought a silver subaru WRX sti 2003 model. At present it has a massive rear silver spoiler. I would like to find a smaller more modest one . Please can you help ? the local dealer says a standard wrx spoiler wont fit because it has 8 bolt holes and the sti has 10.

I look forward to hearing from you

Cheers

Question

Hi Chris
I have a wrx MY03 silver and low spoiler, if you are serious we could swop boots that way no problem with fitting.

If you want something smaller there are 2 options:

1. Sell your current spoiler with the bootlid and get the low level with a bootlid (however remember that if you sell it, you will prob lose value on the vehicle as that is the std part)

2. Go for a similar tyoe wing that is slightly smaller. Have a look at www.drmotorsport.co.uk or www.tslmotorsport.co.uk

Hope this helps.

Chris,

I have a standard low level spoiler in silver that came off my MY01 which is currently for sale.

Let me know if you are interested.

Neil.

Chris, bear in mind the Prodrive style high spoiler is over £900 pounds from Subaru. So don't just swop boots and give it away.

My advice would be to keep it and get another spoiler.

Nathan..

Chris,
Apologies if you have been offended by this offer .

My thought was of preventing you from trying to fit spoiler without any leaks, which has been identified as a problem when fitting alternative spoilers!!

Also Nathan, as you may not be aware, money was not an issue? I was purely making a suggestion that could be discussed further.
But thank you for your concern. Where would people like Chris be with out you looking after his best interests.

Ravspec have since advised I can have a spoiler delivered, sprayed for only £357. Beats Subaru's £900 don't you think?

Regards
Jo

Cool

Jo

I wasn't insinuating you were trying to rip him off. I was just looking out for a newbie who might not know the value of the item he has.

Glad you appreciate that.

Ravspec do a great deal but at the end of the day it is not a genuine item.

Therefor, fitting and quality may not be up to scratch. Personally id rather pay the extra and get an original, at least if anything goes wrong you can bung it back to the dealer.

Ravspec is a genuine one! I have it already at home!!! AL you need is a template and M6 nuts, which are not included. But it comes original painted in a original subaru box!!!

Hi WRX-Driver

How did you find the transaction of the spoiler? Did you get charged any taxes in addition?
