Just received a letter from Llumar who produce window tint for vehicles etc stating the installation of window film of less than 70%visual light transmission on windows forward of the 'B'post is against regulation 32 of the construction and use act for motor vehicles from the 1st of january .If the police pull you any vehicles with more than 30%VLT tint will be given 10 days to have it removed ,any less than 30%VLT the vehicle will be forced to be removed off the road till the tint is removed with a possibility of a fine and points. This covers all tint fitted before this date ,so basically all tint on front windows is illegal .Not sure if this will be an MOT failure as well, still researching. What next, ban sunglass wearing in cars.

They want to start locking the thieving scum ar5ed car-jackers up then for very long sentences, and then people like me and everyone else who has them, will not feel the need for security tinted glass in the first place.
Yes, it makes the car look good, but the main reason I had mine installed was security.
Mine are 20% tints, are these still legal or not?

This sounds like a great idea, NOT.
More money to be made because window tinting is sooooo dangerous compared to people being raped, murdered etc etc.
Why don' these people start doing something useful

When it is dark and raining I admit to having nearly pulled out in front of bikes a couple of times because I couldn't see through the tints well enough, and that is with the legal fronts too. I can see why it is dangerous to have them darker.
