Remove existing badge by gently prizing it off.
Remove existing black(??) paint from rear of badge by rubbing with a cloth soaked in Wickes Paintbrush Cleaner.
Wash and dry badge.
Repaint any colour you want: it doesn't matter what sort of paint either, as you're painting the rear of the badge, you'll still get a good finish, even with brush painting.
Stick it back in place with double sided stickies from car shops, sold for fixing number plates.
Takes about half an hour to do, and MUCH cheaper thatn buying one!

Well said alc, although not sure about the bit that said use any paint you want... When i did mine i tried using the touch up paint but because it was water based rather than enamel it wouldnt adhere to the back of the badge.
I ended up getting my bodyshop to do it while it was in for some paintwork, i think he had to use a different type of paint.

I suppose "any" paint was a bit non-specific: it could include a kid's powder paint! :
I've seen car touch-up, nail varnish( : ), Plasti-Kote, and model enamel paint used successfully.
Strangely, the best colour match to STi pink was the nail varnish..............does that tell us all something??

Got some strange looks & funny comments when in Boot`s chemist I asked for some Blue nail varnish with sparklie bits in. Too embarassed to tell them what it was actually for, they had none & I came away empty handed. The embarassment continues today as I search the shops for `Blue nail varish with sparklie in`.

use any kind of paint you want...
just make sure to coat it well so that
it's completely covered....
on my 2001 Impreza RS (US) i used car model paint...
on my 2003 WRX... Subaru Touch Up Paint
hidden behind my grill guard.. but you can still see it
I've heard of others using
nail polish and the likes...
be creative! have fun...
