MY02 colour coded sills

My car has black plastic sills but I see plents with colour coded ones. Was this an option when te car was new and if not, is it as simple as removing then and taking them to a bodyshop to have them sprayed?

Would any good bodyshop be able to do them without the car, if you tell them that it is Subaru Premium Silver?

Yep,they simply unclip from the car and then can be left with the paint shop while they sort em out. (There's something like 5-6 clips per sill and they simply twist and then pull down,quite easy really,even I did it!! lol)
All 01/02 WRX's came from the factory with black side skirts so it was personal preference whether you had them done or not.They do look much better though when painted.......

Thanks chaps - I will investigate. If I can take them off and leave them somewhere to be done it makes lifea lot easier...
