I used Meguiars Body Scrub and Gold class polish on my 01WRX the other weekend and the results are outstanding.Took me five hours in total as I had to polish the car twice in effect (Once for body scrub and the other for Gold Class)
Got rid of swirl marks and crap in paintwork....
Some pics for you but to be honest, they really don't do the shine justice!!!
Good luck
Nick

I'm a little suprised at the amount of swirl marks on my red MY03. Car was new in June and 'Diamond Brighted' straight away. Tried a test patch of HD Cleanse and Zymol I had from my last Scoob without any visible improvement. Car is washed with sponge and pressure washer set to 'soap mode' to avoid dipping sponge into a bucket of soapy grit .
What's the best solution? What is that Williams stuff like in Halfords? Or the latest Wax Wizard stuff?
Cheers
Otis.

Try some of the Swissol paint cleaner and/or clay bar. Should remove the swirls for you assuming they are quite light. You should wax over the area after applying the treatment.

I polished my car with colour magic when i first got my 01 wrx and I noticed swirl marks on her about a week after so I washed her with autoglym ,polished her with autoglym and finished off with autoglyms clear gloss .
No more swirl marks and the car looks great .
Do you always wash your car with a jet wash ?

Any half decent 'Polish' will help to remove swirls but if being applied by hand will take time unless very light.
The clay bar won't help with swirls at all, thats more for removing contaminents on top of the clearcoat.
One of the easiest ways to help reduce swirling is use proper pads for application + towels or Microfibre cloths to remove polish or wax, as they will absorb any dirt etc easier than say an old T-shirt that will just push the dirt across the bodywork.
Also applying any products in straight lines as opposed to in circular motions will help alot as well.
Good luck.
