is this a tricky job? i need to swap boot lids with someone due to selling my spoiler?

if it's a classic like mine it was just a case of undoing the four bolts on the hinges and it will lift straight off, i don't know about any brake lights but that should be quite simple too.

 

hi mate,as said above just the 4 bolts.if you have a rear brake light on spoiler you can disconnect whole lead back to half way under top of bootlid,under where rear wiper motor fits,if you have one!there is a pull a part socket there to disconnect it

Don't forget to swap the locks!!!!

 

are the locks tricky to change over?

dealer quoted me 2 hours labour to swap!

 

takes all of 2 1/2 mins,just reach in behind keyhole cylinder and slide out metal shim/clip(can be stiff,helps if you try and push cylinder in towards boot as shim is a slide fit)then just unclip the plastic catch that connects rod to lock part,refitting is reverse.
